Coordinate definition of requirements with internal and external clients. Translate client needs into functional systems that produce desired results. Review business needs to develop software solutions. Work with programmers and analysts to code and test software features to provide software enhancements. Lead analysis, development, implementation and support of applications or program components. Coordinate the implementation of completed applications or program components. Lead analysis of systems and programs, including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems. Create and update documentation throughout the development lifecycle to aid in maintenance and code reuse. Identify potential areas of improvement in existing systems and make suggestions for improvement. Provide necessary turnover, assistance, and training to internal and external clients. Assure system turnover requirements are fulfilled. Troubleshoot technical problems to keep production operating within their schedule. Provide client support as required. Provide technical guidance on usage of internal systems. Provide leadership in the development, technical training and work direction of team members; direct the project efforts of assigned personnel. Develop strong working relationships with managers and analysts. Provide information for performance reviews. Assist in interviewing process as required.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in system design and development. Knowledge of Java and supporting technologies / frameworks (JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, Spring). Experience with Java application servers and J2EE containers (JBOSS and Tomcat). Knowledge of one or more programming languages. Knowledge of object-oriented design methodology and standard software design patterns. Experience with HTTP technologies.
