Thales e-Security, Inc seeks New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer in San Jose, CA. Reporting to Quality & Operations management on progress and issues relating to product and process quality. Working closely with Product Management, Design Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality of the product through its full lifecycle. Works closely with Quality on finding root cause and resolving issues. Assist in the Quality Reporting process; KPI data capture points, capture and analysis. Identification of risks for the product, manufacturing process and supplier related activities. Works closely with selected external manufacturing partners. Ensure that new products meet goals for manufactured cost, test & supply. Ensure that new product build/test issues identified in the field are dealt with appropriately in the manufacturing activity. Represent the Manufacturing Function throughout new product development phases. Work closely with the Customer Service organization to identify and resolve field related issues. Assist in the translation and introduction of engineering releases into either insourced or outsourced production phase. Assist continuous improvement of Factory quality, yield, cost and competency. Assist continuous improvement in areas related to customer satisfaction. Assist in following up on customer quality complaints. The direct support (on-site or otherwise) of suppliers during initial product introduction phases or periods of unexpected manufacturing disruption.
