• Transition our on-premises video editing environment to a cloud first model.• Support and refine CBS News cloud archives to further enhance content monetization opportunities.• Support content mesh to integrate production asset management systems across all of CBS News and Stations into a single interface.• Act as the primary point of contact for L2/L3 technical support within a live broadcast environment, including maintaining the integrity of video editing, ingest, playout, and archive operations.• Manage enterprise infrastructure components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and ensure network protocols like TCP/IP and DNS are functioning correctly.• Administer PAM and MAM systems, overseeing the workflows and ensuring the smooth operation of media asset management.• Maintain expertise with various video formats, codecs, compression schemes, and wrappers.• Monitor and adjust video signals and protocols to meet production standards.• Identify and troubleshoot any issues with cloud workflows, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.• Coordinate the maintenance and operation of Windows and Linux servers, including command line management and system updates via Microsoft SCCM.• Implement and manage monitoring tools like Zabbix or New Relic to ensure system health and performance.• Maintain archive middleware systems like Telestream Diva for efficient data storage and retrieval.• Provide support for remote access solutions, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for remote users.• Use project management and ticketing systems to lead projects, track progress, and resolve issues efficiently.
