ZT Group Int'l Inc. dba ZT Systems seeks a Production Manager in Secaucus, NJ.
Duties: Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts. Manage direct reports and oversee a supervisory organization of 100+ individuals, consisting of supervisors, employees and contingent workers in the Production Organization. Communicate overall priorities for the extended team to Team Leads based on Ship date (day/week/month), Quantity of units, Aged units, Capacity, Efficiency, Quality issues from Assembly and/or vendors, Safety & 6S's in place, Lean tools, and Problem solving tools and Action plan Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA). Manage & escalate issues impacting extended team and communicate to peer managers, managers, customer Program Managers, and New Product Introduction (NPI) Managers. Work with extended team to identify and execute process / tool improvements, including managers, manufacturing engineering teams, development engineering teams, and maintenance teams. Lead Production Org representatives on Safety, and Lean Management initiatives to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness. Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and increase flexibility between similar processes with similar skill levels. Implement and train on Lean Management methodology as part of continuous improvement projects. Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts. Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks, and follow Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology for problem solving and action plan. Work with HR to support workforce planning and forecasting for ZT and temp agency workers in Production organization. Perform audit activities for Production Org. Interface with Facilities and Security teams. 40 hours/week, $128,295 to $140,500 per year.
