Field Applications Engineer in North Reading, MA (& various unanticipated worksites across the U.S.)
Job Responsibilities:
• Create techniques for testing and characterizing leading edge electronic components.
• Write and debug characterization and production test programs in C++ using Eagle Vision MST IDE or Visual Basic for mixed-signal, High-Power Discrete devices.
• Implement Test Time Reduction (TTR) techniques to improve cost of testing for our customers.
• Design analog and digital interfaces to implement switching, filtering, signal conversions, and other functions.
• Perform schematics design and review component placement and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout using Allegro Cadence and other software tools.
• Analyze signal integrity, crosstalk, noise interference and other specs on PCB layout and cable design to recommend improvements.
• Reproduce and evaluate customer issues for software and hardware engineering to correct and provide interim solutions.
• Provide remote support to customer inquiries, questions, and basic problems via hotline support.
• Travel to customer or Teradyne locations to provide on-site consultation as well as support customer product acceptance.
• Conduct statistical analysis and correlation of data.
Salary: $178,963 - $202,800 per year.
Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.
