Support the design of shielding & radiation containment systems for accelerator facilities, projects & experiments & provide support & oversight for safe & efficient radiological operations.
PhD in Health Physics, Radiation Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Strong knowledge in: designing, developing & optimizing radiation devices for particle accelerator facility; Monte Carlo simulation codes (FLUKA) for particle transport, radiation damage & safety analyses. Ability to conduct radiation safety risk assessments, mitigation & crisis management. Demonstrated ability to collaborate interdisciplinary on the design & development of a particle accelerator facility. Strong research & development skills to adapt & improve methods & programs. Published research in peer-reviewed journals & presented at international workshops. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts orally and in writing in international, multidisciplinary environments.
