Build, deploy and maintain services and systems to securely process and store payment data. Integrate with 3rd party APIs in order to augment Stripe's payment capabilities. Analyze business requirements and come up with technical designs that take into account feasibility, cost, user feedback, data analytics, rapid prototyping and time constraints. Convert these technical designs into a series of programming tasks. Prototype, build and deploy machine learning models to improve Stripe's product and services. Build software infrastructure, including creation, modification, and testing of source code written in Ruby, JavaScript, and Scala languages. Debug and identify the root cause of errors in a complex web application across multiple service components. Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale. Conduct technical interviews for the role of Software Engineer and assess candidate qualifications. Mentor other more junior engineers on testing methodologies & development best practices.
