Strata LLC in Houston, Texas seeks a Salt Cavern Engineer to be responsible for performing software models for solution-mined salt caverns including solution-mining simulations, gas storage, thermal cycling, & wellbore hydraulics. Prepare solution mining plans for caverns development.
Position requires a Master's degree in Petroleum, Mining, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience. Experience must include Salt Cavern well engineering; Engineering analysis, engineering design, project management, & project controls (schedule and cost management); Reservoir modeling; Experience with workovers, drilling, well testing, & related relevant; Experience with underground injection control (UIC) permitting & interfacing with state regulatory agencies; Experience with salt caverns, waste & brine disposal wells, & carbon sequestration wells. Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required. Up to 60% domestic travel required. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
