Balluff Inc. is seeking Product Marketing Engineers at our Florence, KY facility to:
Develop proposals and customer requirements for IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) Systems and component products including industrial cabling (sensor cables, cordsets, network cables), power supplies, inductive couplers, Smart Lights ("stack" lights), and machine lighting. Perform SWOT analysis and identify pricing, technology trends, new applications for competitive products and regularly communicate this information with the sales, industry, and global teams. Collaborate and communicate with Operational Marketing, Strategic Marketing, and Technology Teams and provide teams with "voice of customer" across diverse market segments for portfolio roadmaps. Create plans for product launches and targeted advertising materials and/or revise sales strategies that eliminate barriers into target markets and/or customers.
Candidates must have a master's degree in computer engineering or closely related field and 24 months' experience in the following job duties as a product applications specialist or software engineer/developer. Coordinate the development and integration of IIoT systems, focusing on the coordination of software, hardware, and network architecture, including industrial cabling (sensor cables, cordsets, network cables), power supplies, inductive couplers, Smart Lights ("stack" lights), and machine lighting. Conduct system-level testing and validation to ensure that IIoT solutions perform as expected in real-world environments. Create comprehensive technical documentation for IIoT systems, including systems integration guides, technical specifications, and process flows, for internal teams and customers. Provide advanced technical support for IIoT systems during the pre- and post-sales stages, ensuring customer-specific IIoT systems are deployed successfully. Troubleshoot and resolve complex IIoT system-level issues, providing technical expertise to ensure efficient problem resolution. Travel expected to be between 25–35% of the time within the United States, primarily Midwest or Southeast for customer visits and attendance at trade shows.
