Insurance Services Office, Inc. seeks a Database Administrator II in Jersey City, NJ.
Duties:
Support operational environments' database systems across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and AWS Aurora. Demonstrate an understanding of complex problem-solving techniques dealing with physical database creation and support. Formulate and recommend technical direction for database-related activities for the project teams in collaboration with other teams in IT organization. Develop standards, processes, and procedures within the scope of Technology & Infrastructure DB Services team. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the database development life cycle including data modeling, database coding, testing, and implementation. Perform quality assurance and/or software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers and project team members. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels within the organizations as well as communicate directly with customers on new projects and/or issues with production systems. Plan and execute database migrations as needed. Monitor and improve performance; diagnose and resolve database-related problems. Design and manage backup and recovery processes and continuity of operations plan.
