eGain Corporation seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Cloud in Sunnyvale, CA.
Duties: Manage a global team of cloud engineers and work with product managers on product roadmap. Work to ensure that the performance and availability of the eGain applications, server, and network infrastructure are maintained to the highest standard so that maximum productivity is achieved for eGain Cloud clients. Proactive monitoring (includes GroundWork monitoring and manual monitoring of application). Provide application / system / database support. Work effectively with offshore teams, coordinating issue resolution and customer communication. Coordinate and communicate with various parties involved in incident and problem management. Escalate technical issues effectively based on priority and impact. Proactively stay up-to-date with all the product suites, latest technologies concerning products and the underlying technologies, and disseminate this knowledge to the other engineers. Maintain & operate the Windows infrastructure environment as per established procedures. Planning of upgrade/hotfix/deployments. Track tasks and projects and ensure that they complete within the scheduled timeline. Follow, review change management process. Interact with the customer over any issue, upgrade, and request, and ensure that the customer is satisfied with the results. Provide technical and functional support to Cloud customers. Respond to requests and inquiries from customers within the defined Service. Maintain the issue statistics on the reported issues for the customer and communicate the updates to the customer(s). Telecommuting is permitted. Salary: $264,514 - $284,000 per year.
