LiveWire EV, LLC seeks Power Electronics Engineer in Milwaukee, WI.
Duties: Create schematics, specify components to create PCB layout. Detailed knowledge of power electronics products for EV powertrain applications. Experience designing, debugging, and validating power electronics for vehicle applications. Designing circuits with mixed signals (digital and analog, various voltage levels). High power conversion circuit design and analysis (AC-to-DC, DC-to-AC, and/or DC/DC converters). EMI/EMC design best practices.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or its equivalent) plus 3 years of experience. Alternatively, requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or its equivalent) plus any amount of experience or knowledge of required skillsets. Requires 3 years of experience (or with Master's, any amount of experience or knowledge of) the following: Processor driver development. Planning and conduction of component tests. Functional safety ISO 26262 work process. All EV components: APS (DC/DC converter), Motor Controller / Inverter, BMS and High Voltage bus management, Cell / Pack HV behavior. DFMEA, PFMEA and related quality assurance processes.
