Duties: Define and maintain observability standards, guidelines, and best practices for instrumentation, logging, tracing, metrics collection, and data retention. Drive the adoption of observability practices that enable business stakeholders to gain insights into application performance, user experience, and business metrics. Develop observability dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide visibility into key business metrics and performance indicators. Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of observability tools across the enterprise. Ensure seamless integration of observability tools with existing monitoring, logging, and tracing infrastructure. Collaborate with platform engineering teams to automate the deployment and configuration of observability tools using infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management practices. Conduct regular observability audits and assessments to identify gaps, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization. Develop and deliver observability training programs, documentation, and knowledge-sharing resources for development, operations, and support teams. Collaborate with development teams to introduce observability code reviews and automated validation checks in the software development lifecycle (SDLC). 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S.
