Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Communication requires a Ph.D. in Communication or related field. Candidates must have:
- Peer review publication demonstrating research interest in current communication platforms/technologies
- Focus on theory and practice related to emerging media and online platforms
- At least two semesters of college-level teaching experience (through employment, training, tutorial, or academic program)
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Communication and computational methods, including:
- Health Communication
- Science Communication
- Principles of Visual Communication
- Persuasion Theory & Practices
- Courses involving NLP, LLMs, AI, machine learning
- Engaging in research
- Providing service to the university
