The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston seeks an Economist to conduct policy research & advise on monetary policy, present findings, & supporting outreach & recruitment. Office presence required min. 4 days/wk. Must be willing to travel domestically & globally, est. 6-10 trips/yr.
Requirements:
Must have: 1) Ph.D degree in economics, 2) ability to conduct policy-relevant research at frontier of macroeconomics, with focus on labor economics, inflation dynamics, & public finance, as shown by min. 3 research papers (published or completed working papers) & min. 1 example of current work in progress, 3) state-of-the-art quantitative & econometric skills as shown by academic coursework, papers, or prior experience, 4) proficiency working with large-scale datasets as shown in working papers or prior experience.
