Support and collaborate with Demand Planning Analysts 1 and 2 to help achieve department goals. Foster open communication with sales leadership regarding account performance and potential areas for improvement. Assist in providing development opportunities, training, and the necessary tools to enable demand planning team members to effectively carry out their tactical, strategic, and multiyear forecasting responsibilities. Contribute to the success of Demand Planning Analysts 1, Professional Development Program (PDP) members, and interns by offering guidance and support aligned with department objectives. Serve as a liaison between demand planning, forecast stakeholders, and forecast users to ensure alignment and clarity. Monitor and communicate significant upcoming changes in the sales forecast that may impact downstream supply chain operations. Work to maintain high Forecast Accuracy and low Forecast Bias on each Publication for all assigned customer accounts. Use and maintain the forecasting software as the primary forecasting system tool for all assigned customer accounts. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers and maintain correct forecasting model to generate the best possible statistical forecast calculation for all assigned customer accounts in the forecasting software. Ensure sales team members communicate all non-forecastable inputs including promotions, ads, price changes, product discontinuances and others through forecasting software properly and on time. Communicate these variations down the supply chain. Maintain an open communication channel with sales team members to reconcile and validate resultant forecast. Facilitate sales team interaction with forecasting software and configure and maintain the adequate forecasting view for each sales team member to communicate them forecasted volume and collect their overrides from non-statistical factors affecting demand. Provide insight to sales team related to their performance in predicting non-statistical factors affecting demand for assigned customer accounts. Design, update and deliver training to sales team members and customer team required to input sales overrides in the forecasting software. Perform Strategic Sales Forecast and Multiyear Forecasting for assigned customer accounts. Reconcile statistical calculations, historic trends, sales feedback, new business information, and market updates to generate the best possible estimation on each round of the Strategic and Multiyear Forecast. Lead and manage cross-functional projects to enhance forecasting accuracy, process efficiency, and interdepartmental collaboration by applying advanced technical skills. Identify, drive and support initiatives to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a high-quality forecast. Utilize tools such as SQL for data extraction and transformation, Python/R for statistical modeling and automation, Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development, and Oracle Analytics Cloud Services (OACS) for enterprise-level analytics and reporting. Stay informed on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and predictive analytics to identify opportunities for automation, improved forecast accuracy, and increased team efficiency. Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions. Conduct Pre and Post-mortems on projects, including documenting, evaluating, and reporting lessons learned. Recommend and lead initiatives that incorporate new technologies and methodologies into the forecasting process, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the demand planning function.
