Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or in the chemical or biological sciences; and ASCP, AMT or AAB certification as MLS or MT.
Job Duties:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist III (NYO) will perform testing methods for multi-analyte fluorescent detection, line immunoassay, immunoprecipitation and indirect fluorescent antibody testing platforms. Will operate and maintain instrument platforms such as Helmed, Quantalyser 3000 slide processors, NovaView microscope systems and Olympus microscopes. Will participate in preparing specimens for processing; establish, perform, and document quality assurance, quality control, confirm and verify results through in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments. Correlates, interprets and enters data based on knowledge of factors affecting test results.
