Alexandria Extrusion Mfg America, LLC has an opening for Corporate Quality Engineer in Indianapolis, IN; 40 hours/week
Duties include: Assess quality performance. Devise and implement methods for inspecting, testing and evaluating products, processes and equipment. Develop and establish quality systems and procedures. Ensure that project and/or process control documentation is compliant. Assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards. Responsible for supporting the site's QMS. Provide DFM input on critical to quality requirements. Identify quality performance, trends and corrective actions. Ensure compliance. Develop and initiate programs. Prepare reports. Analyze proposed changes. Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions. Refine and enhance products and processes. Represent company. May act as main contact in audit. Develop and coordinate corrective action. Communicate and educate Operations Team. Conduct quality-related visits. Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related plus 3 years of experience of quality engineering in the position offered or a related role.
Special Requirements: 3 years of experience using quality tools such as 8D and 5Y methods for root cause investigation and corrective action development.
