Develop key Java/ATG modules for the Vitamin Shoppe's e-Commerce development initiatives. This includes integration work with other systems, both internal and external. Perform analysis and communicate with business to determine how to deliver solutions that address business needs while maximally leveraging out-of-the-box functionality offered by ATG eCommerce framework. Analyze business requests to determine feasibility, scope, timeline, cost, and alternatives. Deliver quality design and development solutions that result in zero post-project critical bug counts. Perform troubleshooting and investigation of business, data or technical issues as they might arise. Provide accurate project/task time duration estimates and statuses to team and project management. Develop adequate documentation for other programmers as a part of development lifecycle. Participate in growth of team's knowledge base by sharing his/her findings, research, and accomplishments with the rest of the team. Help advance team's software development methodology by actively participating in retrospective meetings, working with other developers and shared resources (release engineers, QA staff), specifying/discussing technical design approaches, and seeking/participating in peer design and code reviews. Evaluate new technologies that could advance business goals. Foster a can-do attitude to all business user interactions. Provide technical leadership in the defining and implementing of architectural changes necessary to address expanding product requirements and maintenance concerns. Help oversee technical work of junior web developers and coordinate the release schedule with business owners and Manager of Direct Applications.
