Thales Avionics, Inc. seeks a Principal Software Integration Engineer in Irvine, CA.
Duties:
• Define and execute various system and software performance test plans
• Analyze root causes of highly complex hardware, software, or network issues
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on software, hardware and network subjects and best practices
• Develop internal tools or use industry tools to capture and analyze system performance metrics
• Create reports and lead presentations to management and stakeholders
• Develop Android framework services and C++/Java on server side Linux based systems
• Participate in technical discussions and agile ceremonies (daily stand up meetings, sprint retrospectives and sprint planning meetings)
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 5 years of related experience.
Also requires 3 years of experience in the following:
• Experience with functional testing, performance testing, stress testing, or endurance testing
• C++ or Java programming and debugging
• Experience in Linux Operating System
Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
• Experience performing troubleshooting software & hardware issues
Requires 1 year of experience in the following:
• Experience in a leadership role: technical or project management role
• Experience working with networking, TCP/IP and VLAN
• Experience in scripting
