NC Health Affiliates, LLC seeks a Sr Infrastructure Design Engineer in Durham, NC.
Job duties:
• Overall design and engineering of the Middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere (WAS), Tomcat, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, and IIS on Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Server Platforms.
• Participate in development across multiple SDLC methodologies: Iterative Development, Waterfall and Agile.
• Leverage CI/CD & DevOps elements to provide repeatable and responsive solutions.
• Leverage Docker to deploy container solutions across the stack.
• Understand web services standards and technologies.
• Design and performance tuning of MQ Technologies, such as IBM WebSphere MQ or ActiveMQ.
• Understand and interpret business requirements and determine the most efficient/appropriate solution design.
• Design of application components that are standards based, high performant, highly available, and comply with operational standards and procedures.
• Participate in architecture, engineering, design, and development of applications built with Middleware technologies.
• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues on the entire Middleware infrastructure.
• Be familiar with application security hardening.
• Work collaboratively with other teams; QA, Dev, EA, InfoSec, and others.
• Assist where needed in deploying applications to Dev, QA, and Production environments.
• Cross-platform learning.
