Humana Inc. seeks a Lead Data Engineer in Louisville, KY.
Duties:
• Provide technical leadership for a small team of engineers to design, develop, and deliver data processing components for data ingestion, transformation, curation, and sharing.
• Lead the design, development and implement optimized data models, big data pipelines sourcing data from disparate sources.
• Partner with the product owner to understand the problem to be solved, explore solutions options, and identify the optimal solution. Collaborate with the product owner to scope and breakdown the solution into meaningful product backlog for development.
• Oversee the technical design, implementation plans, code, CI/CD automated tests, and documentation.
• Approve pull requests, perform peer code reviews, and peer testing/QA for product owner acceptance.
• Co-own technology roadmap, prioritize technical debt, and maintain high-level design documents with peer leads.
• Lead tier 2 engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve critical customer escalations on functional, technical, stability, and performance issues.
• Collaborate and influence peer architects with knowledge-sharing demo sessions. Training and mentoring engineers.
