Responsibilities incl: Analyze user needs & software requirements, develop solutions for autonomy & mobility products, namely advanced behavior & motion planning algorithms for off-road vehicles & Design, develop, modify & test software specs & scalable applications & determine performance standards; Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, & architect solutions to bottlenecks; Prepare project specs, activities, or status reports & correspondence; Build out infrastructure initiatives & work on solutions, optimize cloud computing & storage, & design new cloud projects; Confer with domain experts to design software & obtain info on project ranges, performance requirements & interfaces; Work on full-stack development, infrastructure, simulation, testing, & more; & Create behavior & motion planning with collision avoidance systems for safe, efficient & robust software.
Must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related, + at least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer for an autonomous technology company & 2 years of experience using C++, search algorithms, path planning, motion planning algorithm, obstacle avoidance, behavior trees, finite state machines, Markov decision processes, Robot Operating System (ROS), MPC, LQR, PID, & Linux.
