Duties: Assess patient's condition by testing, observation and taking patient history; develop exercise plans consistent with patient's condition, care plan, and goals; implement exercise plan of care by teaching patient to perform prescribed exercises; reassess & modify plan as needed based on patient tolerance; document patient assessments, treatments & outcomes; research, develop & deliver educational programs for patient and care team; oversee exercise testing activities.
Reqs: Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or exercise physiology, plus two years of experience as clinical exercise physiologist at a fully accredited hospital, including experience with developing exercise plans complementary to patient's overall care plan & goals, including cardiac rehabilitation patients; assessment of EKG rhythms, including detection of arrhythmias and lethal rhythms; use of progressive overload exercise programs; and conducting patient intake, one-on-one consultation, and motivational interviewing. Must hold ACLS and BLS Certification and pass background check (including drug testing).
