Powell Industries, Inc. seeks Production Scheduler in Houston, TX:
Perform Forecast, Percentage of Completion (POC), Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Assembly and Ship schedule management; Utilize a variety of industry and proprietary software tools under the guidance of the Master Scheduler to effectively manage the production schedule; Develop and maintain master schedules; Control and monitor project schedules by effectively communicating across various engineering groups and departments; Update, track and report on progress and POC revenue; Complete, update and maintain detailed project schedules, including activities required for each task with durations/constraints; Provide weekly status reports to Department Managers, Group Directors and others as needed; Assist in facilitating interactive planning process; Review/analyze activity durations and logic sequences; perform critical path analyses to identify potential problems and prompt proactive correction of situations; Review staffing/resource needs and implement process improvements based on input from project management and manufacturing; Conduct a full analysis of each project to highlight and identify specific scheduling problem areas; Act as a liaison between all departments to ensure all customer commitments are met; Attend required in-house and outside training sessions; Perform other related duties as assigned with no direct supervision required.
Telecommuting Permitted.
