Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Application Development Lead in Alpharetta, GA, to participate and provide input into the design, redesign, and development of technology products and applications. Contribute and often lead the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle. Lead and manage the design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts, and coordinate systems installation and software testing with other technologists. Assist users with the isolation and resolution of software issues by leading root-cause analysis and providing options for resolution and recommendations. Partner with the business to establish long-term strategic business and systems objectives. Address day-to-day production support fixes. Work with team members (technical and basic) and subject matter experts (end users) to produce requirements and design documents. Document all specifications and requirements for implementation and development of Business Process Procedures (BPPs). Provide support for functional testing to ensure that business requirements are being met while following technical standards. Act as project manager for the complete life cycle of projects as well as for minor enhancements. Interact with program management, team management, Digital Marketing Team, Business Marketing Teams, and business process team members. Review current functionality and processes and recommend process and system improvement, especially in the areas of E-commerce (Sales, Lease, and Rental). Document and support disaster recovery. Participate in support packages, enhancements, and system upgrades as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
