Duties:
Communication
• Establish strong relationships with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to foster cross-functional alignment and trust.
• Tailor technical explanations for various audiences, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Business Intelligence
• Deepen your understanding of Avant's data model to support the team's data needs.
• Track key performance metrics (KPIs) and fulfill ad hoc analysis requests to guide decision-making.
Strategic Impact
• Develop expertise within your domain to proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Combine data-driven insights with a customer-centric mindset to shape and execute the strategy for card servicing features.
Product Development Lifecycle
• Pinpoint and prioritize opportunities through analytics, market trends, and user feedback.
• Translate these opportunities into actionable product requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during implementation and testing.
• Assess feature impact and iterate based on results.
Leadership & Management
• Contribute to high-value projects and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
• Over time, take on additional responsibilities, whether that's managing a small team or deepening your expertise as an individual contributor.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Analytics, Computational Mathematics, or related field and 2 years of experience. Requires 2 years of experience in the following: Data analysis, including experience pulling from multiple data sources using SQL and showcasing results in data visualization tools, to support justification of business decisions; fielding data requests in one's area of expertise or creating monitoring dashboards for area of ownership; Interaction with cross-functional stakeholders to support projects, extending beyond the exchange of purely factual information and to strategic decision making and negotiation of trade-offs. Also requires 1 year of experience in the following: Launching and monitoring features with engineering teams; Leading implementation of a technical feature as a product manager, including assisting engineers in breaking out tickets, testing the feature against requirements and monitoring results' contributions to Key Performance Indicators; Owned communicating results to leadership and peers of one's organization; Authored product specifications with an emphasis on incorporating customer feedback and data into requirements; Worked with external team members to collect these requirements and obtain support from other teams where needed; and Defined Measures of Success and supported measures with quantitative data. Telecommuting is permitted.
