Wasabi Technologies, LLC seeks Manager, Accounting in Boston, MA.
Duties:
• Work directly with external consulting firms to ensure compliance to lease accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the Accounting department's preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
• Perform accounting research and apply it to Wasabi's complex lease accounting colocation agreements for data centers.
• Perform monthly close tasks, including reviewing and approving monthly lease journal entries, reviewing balance sheet and income statement account reconciliation, specifically for our lease accounting and hosting variable spend related to our data centers, and prepare financial analysis while ensuring completion of checklists.
• Utilize specialized knowledge of the NetGain NetLease software that allows us to perform our monthly lease accounting for Wasabi's various data centers.
• Assist in the preparation of proper period end cutoff procedures and ensure they are followed for revenue and expenses, work with outside departments and own the accrual process.
• Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and practices to comply with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required (include research of new and emerging AI capabilities to assist in process improvement in increased accuracy).
• Evaluate and make suggestions for continuous improvement in the company's internal control processes.
Telecommuting is permitted.
