Thales E-Security, Inc. seeks a QA Engineer in San Jose, CA.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Deliver on testing projects on the Thales product lines with minimal supervision. This includes: working collaboratively with the broader QA team on all aspects of project planning, execution, issue resolution, etc. Actively participate in design reviews, making recommendations for product quality, usability and supportability improvements. Ensure testing projects are thoroughly planned and test plans and cases reviewed with peers in QA, development, product management and support teams. Execute testing as needed within the project timelines ensuring issues are managed and resolved prior to their impacting the project. This covers both manual and automated test case coverage. Provide progress and issue updates to the broader QA team. Provide the needed transfers of information to assist the support and SE teams in getting up to speed on the new features for which you are responsible. Work collaboratively with the QA and engineering teams on recommending and implementing test process, tools, etc. improvements to ensure we are continually improving the quality of our products. Work with the test automation team to automate new feature tests, and continually expand on regression test case automation. Work closely with the support team on customer reported issues for your areas of ownership, ensuring: work with the support team on customer issue investigation as needed to ensure timely customer issue resolution. Perform an analysis on the customer escalation, identifying test improvements needed to improve coverage and prevent similar issues occurring again. Build and maintain test environments as needed for project delivery. Manage all aspects of test case documentation, ensuring test case documentation is concise, well written and covers information needed for execution and results validation.
