Requires 24 months experience in data mining, analysis, and manuscript/presentation development, as well as identifying barriers to radiology and imaging services, including social determinants of health; data analysis; and imaging result interpretation. The experience requirement can be met through employment, training or an academic program.
The Research Associate in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences will engage in research to assist principal investigators with artificial intelligence (AI) based methods for developing innovative, noninvasive medical imaging and analysis solutions to improve diagnosis and prevention of medical conditions and disease as well as identifying barriers to radiology and imaging services, including social determinants of health.
Research will focus on application of AI tools to musculoskeletal and neurologic diagnostic imaging, including algorithm development, validation and deployment; data analysis and interpretation of imaging results; and publishing research results.
