Under direction of Client Group Head, identify & execute M&A mandates across low carbon transition-related sectors in Latin America, incl but not lim to renewable power generation & transmission / distribution, circular economy, industrial decarbonization, water & waste management. Position reqs a Bachelor degree (US or For Equiv) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or rel field & 5 yrs of exp working in bulge bracket investment banking or financial advisory w/in an international bank or international advisory organization OR Master's degree (US or For Equiv) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or rel field & 3 yrs of exp working in bulge bracket investment banking or financial advisory w/in an international bank or international advisory organization.
Demonstrated Expertise (quant exp reqs not applicable to this section): Identifying & executing M&A transactions across lo carbon transition-related sectors, incl but not lim to renewable power generation & transmission / distribution, circular economy, industrial decarbonization, or water & waste management; Understanding sectors & clients' strategy & forecasting potential upcoming transactions w/ cross-border angle, & developing pitch books to transform these business opportunities into M&A mandates; Leveraging in-depth knowledge of Latin America macroeconomic, regulatory & political contexts to source & execute M&A transactions in the region, incl cross-border transactions; Managing M&A projects in autonomy from pitch to closing, incl client management, day-to-day management & mentoring of jr staff, presentations to top management & boards of directors, & development of timelines & ensuring they are being met; Good understanding of corporate finance theory in emerging markets & using MS Office Word, Excel, & PowerPoint to perform, organize & present qualitative & quantitative analyses; Building business plans & run long-term value creation analyses for clients based on their sustainability transition strategy & objectives.
*Remote work permitted up to 1 day/wk. Up to 20% travel to Latin America, often on short notice.
