Responsible for the installation, configuration & production turnover of Truist Database Services & servers. Provide & assist & the creation of database(s), database schema & support for logical model & developments. Maintain documentation, backup & recovery procedure for the physical & logical databases. Include developing, monitoring & maintaining backup & recovery solutions.
Requirements:
Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Information Systems, or related technical field. Must have 5 years of progressive experience in development or application support positions performing/utilizing the following: In-depth knowledge of information systems & ability to identify, apply, & implement best practices; Demonstrated knowledge of business processes & competitive strategies related to the IT function; Planning & managing projects; Providing direction & mentoring to avoid teammates; Identifying risk & security gaps & concerns & developing remediation plans; Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 & 2012 R2, 2016, 2019; Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012 & 2014, 2016, 2019; RDBMS, platforms & VLDBs; Disaster Recovery & Replication & implementation skills; Configuration & tuning capabilities, including RDBMS, IO & metric gathering; Scripting capabilities & in the OS to assist & automation & gathering metrics for analysis; Security & Risk Awareness; & Reading vendor security bulletins & correlating to enterprise environment.
Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of & reports to Truist offices in Charlotte, NC. Must be available to travel to Charlotte, NC regularly for meetings & reviews & manager & project teams & in 24 hours' notice.
