Responsibilities include: Design, develop, & maintain secure & scalable backend platform infrastructure, abstractions, & tooling that supports application deployment, authentication, & API services; Build & optimize distributed systems that enable rapid application development & deployment across the organization; Architect & implement plugin systems & extensibility frameworks to build upon the platform; Create & maintain cross-platform desktop application infrastructure & deployment pipelines; Design & implement robust authentication & authorization systems & automated testing strategies, & evaluate, integrate, & maintain authentication solutions; Engage w/ external customers to gather feedback on platform capabilities & identify improvement opportunities; Document platform features, APIs, & best practices for internal & external users; Implement comprehensive observability solutions incl logging, metrics, & distributed tracing; Monitor platform performance & reliability, identifying & resolving bottlenecks & failures; & Participate in on-call rotations, conduct post-incident reviews, & implement preventive measures to improve system resilience, maintain platform availability, & respond to incidents.
Requirements: Must have at least a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, + 1 yr of exp in a software engineer role w/ a technology company & 12 months of exp using Python, Golang, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, Flask, Node.js/Express.js, PostgreSQL/MySQL, React.js, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS & GCP cloud services, GitHub, OAuth 2.0, & Load Balancing.
