Requires Master's in CS, or related field or equivalent, & 2 years of experience designing & developing real-time distributed systems to power core experiences; developing distributed systems with focus on low latency, high throughput, & high availability; utilizing AWS services & ability to manage AWS components DynamoDB, S3, SQS, & IAM; using dependency injection frameworks including Guice & Spring to build modular & testable code; developing applications through TDD (Test Driven Development) & unit testing process using Junit & Mockito; monitoring service health using Cloudwatch, DataDog, & Grafana; ensuring rapid delivery of services using CI/CD infrastructure; managing data pipelines, real-time data flows, stream processing & distributing data flows using Kafka, Flink, & Spark; ensuring high throughput through caching data in stores including Redis & Aerospike; & in executing duties, utilizing MySQL database, Spring frameworks (Springboot & Spring Actuator), event streaming platforms including Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, & SNS & JVM based languages including Java/Kotlin.
