Abbott Labs in Waukegan, IL seeks qualified IT App Architect. Responsibilities for working closely w/ functional groups, business owners, utilizing structured interview processes to assess business needs, prioritize tasks & document clear requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field. Must possess minimum 8 years of progressive professional tech solutions & architecture development & systems integration experience. In addition position requires minimum 3 years of professional experience in: (i) developing alternative tech solutions, advising on associated risks, costs & benefits, & evaluating their impact on other business processes & system priorities; (ii) architect end-to-end Solutions for WMS, including detailed design, configuration, build, testing & production support; (iii) configure, deploy & support Manhattan Associates WMS & chart products; (iv) design, configure & integrate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) software solutions/platforms, ensuring tech compatibility & seamless data exchange w/ Manhattan systems; (v) design, develop & deliver SCI Supply Chain Intelligence reports to support operations analytics, KPIs, & executive dashboards; (vi) utilize interface mapping & integration w/ legacy & third-party apps that support warehouse ecosystem & integration between Manhattan WMS & ERP & TMS platforms; (vii) write complex queries, joins & stored procedures & utilize different WMS tables; (viii) work w/ RF/hands-free tech, barcoding, RFID, labor management, & warehouse automation; (ix) design & develop Pack Slips using Jaspersoft Studio (JRXML templates); (x) configure & manage printers in MAPW & integrate w/ common UNIX Printing systems (CUPS) server; & (xi) debug & troubleshoot tech issues & serving as tech point of contact for Manhattan WMS & integrated systems. Up to 20% travel required. 40 hrs/wk.
