Serve as subject matter expert & strategic advisor for organizational tech landscape.
Requirements: Masters in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Engineering (any) or closely related quantitative discipline & eight (8) years of experience in bioinformatics software architecture, bioinformatics enterprise architecture, bioinformatics solutions architecture, or related occupation. Must possess minimum 8 years experience within medical device, diagnostics, or biotech company or in role(s) engaging with: bioinformatics data analysis; or enterprise architecture for next-generation sequencing; or software architecture, design & documentation. Must possess experience in: (i) designing & implementing end-to-end data platforms including data ingestion, processing, storage & consumption; (ii) Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Data Lake, or Lakehouse; (iii) imperative programming, declarative programming & object-oriented programming; (iv) Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, API management & Kafka integration; (v) Data architecture, including relational & NoSQL databases; (vi) Designing & architecting cloud-native solutions in Azure or AWS; (vii) Migrating legacy systems to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS; (viii) Agile methodologies & architecting for CI/CD; & (ix) Generative AI, training pipelines, deployment & monitoring. Any suitable combination of education, training & experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is permitted within commutable distance of location. Periodic on-site attendance will be required. 40 hrs/week.
