Define and drive the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for the ecommerce platform & Work Management domain in alignment with business goals. Anticipate future technical challenges and proactively develop solutions. Champion innovation and the adoption of new technologies to improve the platform. Contribute to the overall engineering strategy and best practices across the organization. Lead and manage multiple teams of software engineers and potentially Engineering Managers. Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and mentor engineering talent at all levels, including identifying and growing future leaders. Drive effective performance management and career development within the teams. Ensure consistent application of engineering processes and standards across teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Management, Design, Marketing, Operations, and other key stakeholders at a strategic level. Effectively communicate technical vision, plans, and progress to executive leadership and non-technical audiences. Influence product strategy and roadmaps based on technical feasibility and scalability considerations. Navigate complex organizational structures and drive alignment across different teams and departments. Oversee the planning and execution of complex, multi-team engineering projects and programs. Ensure effective resource allocation and prioritization across multiple teams. Identify and mitigate significant technical and operational risks. Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and efficiency. Ensure the ecommerce platform is highly scalable, reliable, and performant to meet current and future business demands. Drive initiatives to improve system architecture, infrastructure, and monitoring capabilities. Lead efforts to address critical production issues and implement robust preventative measures. Focus on building resilient and fault-tolerant systems. Manage budgets and resources effectively for the teams and projects. Participate in strategic resource planning and forecasting.
