Duties: Guide electrical and mechanical engineering teams ensuring project deliverables meet time, cost and quality targets. Oversee multiple related projects under a major customer program. Lead the cross functional teams including engineering, validation, quality, procurement to successfully develop the product for the assigned project. Accountable from RFQ phase to production launch with full ownership of BOM (Bill of Materials) ensuring business original EBITs. Collaborate across the functional groups in a matrix organization defining project requirements, setting priorities, and establishing the project scope. Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing the scope, schedule, and resources accordingly. Coordinate project team to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases. Manage project escalation and problem resolutions covering project deliverables and maturity gate reviews. Develop communication plans to effectively communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders. Lead the successful implementation of projects from start-up to close-out through close working relationship with CPM (Customer Program Management) and other functional teams like HW engineering, validation, procurement, and quality. Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of project deliverables. Support/consult internal engineering organizations with requirements reviews, design reviews, DFMEA creation, thermal management, signal integrity studies, schematic reviews, DVP&R, warranty investigations, and special investigations. Responsible for driving HW-PL target alignment, cost improvement initiatives, and best practices synergies. Coordinate technical response for RFx activities/Internal or External Change requests - technical concept, customer technical review, engineering ED&D, cross discipline technical solutions, etc. Mentor new team members providing guidance, feedback, and work towards building strong team culture.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field (or its equivalent) and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations. Position also requires 5 years of experience with: Leading a project or engineering team; PLM methodologies and PM processes in project execution and management; and Designing electro-mechanical systems, including functional safety and thermal requirements. Position also requires 2 years of experience in: Developing Infotainment, ADAS, and Central-Compute Systems; and Developing ASIL-D level functional safety systems.
