Advises clients on virus economic & regulatory risks by formulating additional plans & answering complex questions involving GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) & GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards). Domestic travel required up to 10% of time to various unanticipated client sites & BDO office locations nationally.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, or related field & 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as an Auditor or related. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, the employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the job offered, or as an Auditor, or related. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Resolving complex accounting issues; GAAP; GAAS; SEC rules & regulations; PCAOB rules & regulations; Public accounting; Microsoft office products, including Windows, Word, Excel & PowerPoint; Reviewing engagement profitability, including billings & collections; & Using various assurance applications & research tools. Must have CPA certification OR sufficient education/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy) to receive CPA within 24 months of hire or promotion. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
