Wabtec US Rail, Inc. dba Wabtec Corporation seeks Senior Customer Application Engineer in West Melbourne, FL.
• Plan and execute projects at various customer work sites in the US and abroad, including the activities of cross-functional resources and subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for the duration of each project through commissioning: Resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with cross-functional teams as appropriate.
• Visit customers at their work sites (office and depots) on a regular basis to make presentations, provide training, ride trains to conduct supervised engineering runs and configure TO software.
• Translate customer needs/requirements into detailed project plans while driving internal execution to meet project targets and ensure CTQs are met.
• Perform technical analysis in support of product deployment and performance monitoring to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage a network of resources (including contractors) in support of project execution.
• Identify opportunities to expand the project in ways that bring value to our customer and satisfy our profitability requirements.
• Participate in the development of proposals for projects.
• Ensure that delivered products and services achieve highest quality and performance levels.
• Work with cross functional engineering resources to develop system changes, create and deploy test plans, establish and execute training sessions / manuals and lead functional implementation and validation.
