Metso USA Inc. is looking for an Advanced Process Controls (APC) Engineer II to implement APC systems in NA region, work with customers to design, configure, install, & commission systems. Remote position out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree Metallurgy, (civil or non) Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral processing, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering/Process Control & 4 years mineral process or mineral process APC experience. 4 years experience optimizing Control concepts for: Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, & Dewatering; 4 years experience programming Control logic using OCS & OCS-4D programming tools; 4 years experience with Frothsense (VisioFroth), camera set up & commissioning, & Froth velocity Control; 4 years experience with Rocksense2D (VisioRock), camera set up, and programming & use in process Control; 4 years experience with Smartear (AudioMill), & programming & use in process control; 3 years experience OPC communication; 3 years experience with Dynamic Constraint control as it applies to APC of mineral process & Crisp & Fuzzy logic programming; 2 years experience Bassler Camera Set up and Model Predictive Control; and, 2 years experience with documentation for APC Projects including control philosophy, Safety Plan, & control method integration. Domestic & international travel 50% unanticipated worksite.
