Develop a team of talented engineers; analyze the tech stack required to drive eCommerce engineering practices; design, build & operate large-scale, complete production systems.
Requires: Bachelor's degree in Comp Sci, Comp Eng, Electrical Eng, Math or related field (will accept foreign edu equiv) & 8 yrs exp in job offered or rel occupation designing, building & operating large-scale, complex production systems. Must have exp: taking end-to-end ownership of technical projects closing on technical design & architecture & has successfully delivered at least 1 initiative that positively impacts organization; establishing principles & policies that impact technical direction or organization, incl code review practices, continuous deployment/integration practices, comprehensive testing guidelines across the stack, observability paradigms (logging, monitoring, or distributed tracing); improving overall performance of backend systems & infrastructure achieving high availability with low latency; providing mentorship to jr engineers in organization & take active interest in their growth by identifying the right opportunities (cross-functional engagements, training sessions); designing a performant system taking into consideration current needs & anticipating future needs in terms of features & scale; designing & developing APIs from the ground up for distributed systems with a focus on fault tolerance, high performance & low latency handling large scale, which includes order of millions of transactions per second.
