Doka USA Ltd. seeks a Sr. Project Engineer (Loma Linda, CA) to utilize Tipos Software & DokaCad to determine & plan technical solutions for projects utilizing Doka form-work systems.
Requires a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction or related & 2 years of experience in concrete formwork & shoring systems. Must have experience with: solving design & field problems on short notice with minimal info; troubleshooting form-work & shoring solutions for customer projects; performing related design calculations & analysis; preparing formwork & shoring drawings; preparing calculation packages for professional engineers, local building authorities or 3rd party reviewers; preparing estimates & concept drawings at pre-bid & awarded contract stages; reading & understanding structural & architectural blueprints; conducting job-site visits & meetings with customer to ensure proper use of formwork & shoring systems in the field; scheduling projects to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently; supporting customer's training for new/established formwork systems; checking drawings & BOMs for local Engineering team prior to release to customer; applying construction engineering know-how & on-the-job techniques with formwork & shoring apps on wide variety of projects including: civil, infrastructure, residential, commercial, tunnel & bridges & high-rise structures; formwork (ACI-347R, ACI-318, AASHTO, IBC 2017, AISC-15, ASCE 7-16, OSHA) industry standards & regulations; formwork, shoring, lumber, steel, & custom steel design for extraordinary formwork apps; AutoCAD software; project cost & materials management & estimating tools; project management software; & computer apps including Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 10% travel domestic required.
