Design, develop, & maintain scalable Java-based apps using Spring Boot & related Spring frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
Position requires a Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field & 3 years of experience in Software. Must have 3 years of experience in: Proficiency in Java features, including OOP concepts, multithreading, exception handling, & collections framework; Spring Frameworks, including Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, & Spring Data; Microservices architecture using Spring Boot; Development of RESTful APIs & SOAP webservices; Deploying Java apps to Azure/AWS Cloud technologies, working experience on Docker & Kubernetes; SQL Databases (MySQL & PostgreSQL) including stored procedures, triggers & query optimization. Exposure to NoSQL Databases (MongoDB & Redis); Messaging systems including KAFKA; Proficiency with Maven/Gradle build tools, experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub; Unit tests using JUnit & Mockito & Integration testing with Cucumber & Performance testing with JMeter & Logging & Monitoring tools Splunk & Elastic.
Telecommuting permitted 40%; work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo office in Plano, TX.
