Duties: Developing new functionality to our existing platform. Providing support and deployment of backend APIs, coding, unit testing and general quality assurance of the APIs. Working closely with QA engineers, architects, tech leads on projects. Solving technical challenges on a day-to-day basis. Building applications for scalability and performance. Writing clean, well-tested and maintainable code.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 1 year of experience. Additionally, requires 1 year of experience with: J2EE technologies including servlets, JSP, JSP custom tags, XML, EJB and JDBC; Object-oriented analysis and design concepts and design patterns; Web development technologies including PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or similar; Implementation knowledge of front-end concepts including MVC or similar; Application servers including JBoss and Tomcat or similar; SQL and experience working with a RDBMS including Oracle or similar; Working in a UNIX or LINUX environment; and HTTP protocol, request/response cycles, and session management. Telecommuting is permitted.
