Network Specialist @ Bloomberg LP (San Francisco, CA) F/T Provide support, maintenance, & hands-on troubleshooting of our global network using proprietary & third-party platforms, from a variety of vendors (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Arista, & Nokia).
Position requires Bachelor's or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field & 3 years of experience in the job offered or as IT Engineering, or related. Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following skills: Configuring and troubleshooting network protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, STP, or LACP); Troubleshooting routing and switching issues; Firewalls and network security; Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP); Working with third party service providers including ISPs and international telecom; Building monitoring dashboards using Grafana, Splunk, and Humio; and, Experience in using and understanding various automation tools, scripting, and programming.
