Read & interpret tech drawings, blueprints, & specs to understand welding reqs & component layout; Select & set up appropriate welding equipment & tools (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding machines; torches; angle grinders) based on proj needs; Prep metal components for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, & aligning parts using measuring tools such as rulers, tape measures, & clamps; Perform welding ops in var pos's (flat, vertical, overhead) to fuse metal components according to established specs; Inspect completed welds for structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, & adherence to design tolerances using visual inspection & measurement tools; Perform routine maint on welding equipment, incl cleaning, minor repairs, & tool changes to ensure consistent performance; Adhere to safety standards & protocols, incl wear of appropriate protective gear & safe handling of equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
High School/GED. 12 mnths of exp as a Welder. Certification as an Electric & Gas Welder.
