Provide materials/polymer engineering services & SME to solve technical manufacturing/production & R&D issues for adhesive & sealants manufacturer. Optimize, improve, & develop existing & new product performance for complex new applications. Conduct lab scale experiments regarding product application requirements. Troubleshoot process/system issues.
Minimum requirements: MS or foreign equivalent in Materials Engineering/Science, Polymer Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related engineering field. Plus: 2 years post-bachelor experience in polymer extrusion & polymer compounding, using pilot scale lab equipment with solvent & extrusion systems; 2 years experience in polymer characterization techniques, including rheometers, FTIR, & DSC. In alternative, we accept: bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Engineering/Science, Polymer Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related engineering field. Plus: 5 years post-bachelor experience in polymer extrusion & polymer compounding, using pilot scale lab equipment with solvent & extrusion systems; 5 years experience in polymer characterization techniques, including rheometers, FTIR, & DSC. ALL applicants must have knowledge of: Lab documentation; DOE; Microsoft Office Suite; Minitab or similar statistical process control software.
