Crunchyroll LLC seeks Software Engineer II, Roku in Coppell, TX (telecommuting permitted). Duties: Build intuitive interfaces optimized for all Roku devices, from the latest models to older hardware, with a focus on unit and end-to-end testing to ensure reliability and rapid feature delivery. Responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Roku channels and applications. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver top-notch streaming experiences. Report to Engineering Manager for Roku. Design, develop, and optimize Roku channels using BrightScript and SceneGraph, ensuring high performance and user experience. Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with business goals. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to best practices in coding standards and software architecture. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in Roku applications, ensuring smooth and error-free operation. Stay updated with the latest Roku development trends, tools, and technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development process. Write and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for new and existing features. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills and understanding of Roku development.
