Will provide all aspects of support to maintain wide area networks, local area networks, & telecommunication services, including hardware (routers, switches etc.), software, & strategic planning for the total data network.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, & 5 years of progressively responsible experience in networking & telecommunications technologies, including 5 years of progressively responsible experience in each of the following: networking principles & technologies, including path selection control using L2 & L3 protocols, BGP & EIGRP routing protocols, redundant switch design & implementation, network encryption & tunneling, & carrier network deployment in a multi-site environment configuring MP-BGP on MPLS; telecommunications principles & technologies, including monitoring & troubleshooting techniques; development, design, support, or monitoring of networks & data services; communications services domain, including IEEE standard guidelines; relevant programming languages & practices, including Python & REST; Visio or other documentation software; & Design & support of Cisco collaboration architecture technologies. Must have 1 year of experience with each of the following: cybersecurity systems, firewalls, & IPS; software-defined networking (SDN)-related technologies & services; & Cisco APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller) & ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure). Telecommuting is permissible up to 2 days per week.
